Regional Vice President of Intermodal Rail Services- Kansas City, Missouri

Our Client is a well-established, growing and leading provider of intermodal rail terminal services, auto loading and unloading and container depot services. They have been extremely successful in delivering an exceptional level of quality services and safety.

We’re currently seeking a Regional Vice President of Intermodal Rail Services in the greater Kansas City, Missouri area.

As a Regional Vice President of Intermodal Rail Services, you will…

  • Provide strategic direction, leadership and development to a team of Terminal Managers.
  • Spearhead operations at multiple locations with an emphasis on safety, profitability, administration, maintenance, train performance and productivity.
  • Develop and implement terminal strategies through people, systems and processes.
  • Create and implement plans to exceed goals, objectives and KPIs.
  • Ensure continued excellence in safety, profitability and quality service.
  • Oversee safety audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Identify new opportunities that align with business priorities.
  • Partner with various corporate functions to identify process gaps and implement solutions.


Requirements for Regional Vice President of Intermodal Rail Services:

  • A Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in intermodal and transportation.
  • 5+ years of supervisory/management experience leading a team of 250+ employees.
  • Must have strong safety knowledge, background and experience.
  • Prior union experience preferred.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast pace, and collaborated environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office to include, Word, Excel , PowerPoint and Web Based Data systems
  • Must be willing to travel up to 60%.


Salary: $100 – $150K plus bonus potential and excellent benefits
