Quality Control and Assurance Specialist – New York City area

The Quality Control and Assurance Specialist will gather, inspect and analyze markets/customers/suppliers/trends of regulations and best practices pertaining to chemical manufacturing processes. In addition, as a Quality Control and Assurance Specialist you will strategize, use resources, people and finances to accomplish goals and adhere to the company budget.

Your primary function as Quality Control and Assurance Specialist would be:

  • Implement and improve QC policies, processes and methods, lab techniques and systems for all company products including toll manufacturers. Use statistical analyses (CP/CPK) to monitor processes.
  • Monitor testing procedures, and quality specifications, review production data, assist or lead with periodic audits on systems and procedures.
  • Utilize the ERP system to create master characteristics/specifications, inspection plans and input data.
  • Respond to Customer, suppliers and regulatory inquiries.
  • Assist with QM policies, develop metrics and improvements for product testing procedures.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on production, materials management and logistics.
  • Partner with toll manufacturers to create reports and take corrective actions on complaints and documenting customer replies.
  • Control document systems and maintain all records/files to manage and support QC/QA processes/changes and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and implement time-saving procedures in alignment with the company budget.

To qualify for the Quality Control and Assurance Specialist, you should be experienced in the chemical manufacturing industry in addition to possessing the following attributes and education:

  • Detailed-oriented, team player, top communication skills, with investigative and analytical abilities.
  • Familiar with FDA, FD&C, GLP, GMP, QM, ISO- 9000 Series of Standards (QMS).
  • 2-5 years of practical experience in QC/QA and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree from college or equivalent combination of education and experience.
