The organization is highly regarded as a leader in Commercial and Multifamily Property Management, with a well-recognized name, as well as a growing portfolio.

The Property Accounting Manager will oversee a team of 3 Senior Accountants. This is an excellent opportunity to interface directly with clients, give input to broader projects, improve & streamline processes and make a large impact on this stable and growing organization.

They’re looking for a well-rounded senior accounting candidate with managerial experience within the commercial or multifamily property management spaces who lives in the Phoenix, AZ area.

Property Accounting Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • The opportunity to collaborate with property accounting VPs, Directors and team-members, spearhead ongoing improvement of systems, implementation and streamlining of processes/controls, in an autonomous and collegial environment.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills onboarding and cultivating relationships with clients and providing timely accounting solutions for property management.
  • Act as audit liaison for internal and external financial audits
  • Ensure timely processing of taxes, insurance, debt payments, etc.
  • Provide Controller with weekly team updates.
  • Technical accounting oversight of team’s assigned property accounting duties
  • Oversee cash flow analysis/funding for expenses.
  • Manage property accounting team of 3+ Senior Accountants, from interviewing/hiring, to
    performance reviews, goal setting and talent development

    Property Accounting Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/equivalent experience, required
  • 3+ years of Property Management Accounting experience, required
  • 1+ years of Managerial experience overseeing 1 or more direct reports, preferred
  • Industry Specific Software experience: Yardi
