How long have you been in the industry?
After 26 years as a Human Resources Leader partnering with business leaders to develop HR initiatives that underpin strategic business plans, I discovered the joy of Recruiting and have never looked back! With 7 years of full cycle recruiting, I have developed a network of ongoing relationships across several disciplines that allow me to offer my clients a high volume of high-quality candidates in a reasonable period of time at a competitive cost.
What is your specialty?
While I have recruited across multiple functions and industries – my passion is hospitality and in particular luxury, near luxury properties and resorts. I have placed hospitality professionals in both property and corporate roles including VP of F&B, Director of Social Media and Content, Director of Operations, Regional Director of Revenue Management, Regional Director of Accounting, Reginal Director of Sales and Marketing, General Manager, Director of Front Office, Director of Housekeeping, Director of Engineering and Director of Human Resources to name a few.
What are your interest/passions outside of recruiting?
When I am not pursuing candidates (which is hardly ever!) I love gathering and cooking for my large family as well as being outdoors, hiking the blue ridge, walking the shores of Pensacola Beach or growing things in my yard. I have a natural curiosity about people and places and thus love to read – especially biographies and historical novels.
3 Fun/Funny Facts about yourself:
I am a Marine Corp brat! And have lived in 17 states and 3 countries. I have been told I am a fairly good cook of fusion type fare – that comes from the many places I have lived! And from cooking schools in Japan, Mexico, Italy, and New Orleans. I have a bit of a competitive spirit that comes from competing on horseback and racing sailboats on Lake Michigan -- at the same time I love to collaborate and strategize to find the win- win for everyone.
