The Multi-Property Director of Engineering will oversee two properties and be responsible for delivering exceptional service while ensuring the highest efficiency of the building and grounds. This is an Executive Committee level role looking for a demonstrated leader to oversee and develop a team while looking ahead to the strategic vision and being prepared for future challenges. This individual will oversee all property engineering which includes future capital projects while developing key partnerships with external vendors, the Corp Exec team, and outside partners. Previous project management is required and will be key to this individuals continued success in the role!

Multi-Property Director of Engineering Requirements- To qualify, you should have the following:
• Minimum of three years of Hotel specific engineering experience.
• Oversight of multi properties not required but preferred.
• High school diploma required. Engineering certifications preferred.
• Previous leadership experience overseeing a team of at least five professionals.
• Proven negotiation experience reviewing contracts and understanding liability for contractors to establish service & maintenance agreements.
• Hotel preventative maintenance systems and procedures experience.
• Be available during peak operating times. This includes Weekends, Holidays and Special Events.

Multi-Property Director of Engineering Responsibilities- The duties for the role are as follows:
• Oversee and lead engineering and physical site capital operations for two hotels.
• Partner closely with and provide ongoing support to the GM and Hotel Manager to ensure the properties are kept to corporation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Oversight of time by means of timecards, supplement logs, punch out sheets, service requests and on-call logs.
• Utilizing the organization’s Hotel Specific Software and Property Management Software to create high standards to keep up on maintenance and assist on tracking preventative maintenance.
• Manage team and ensure members attend required training and assist in on-going training on site. This includes overseeing regular department and safety meetings.
• From an HR perspective, responsible for career tracking and evaluating team members on a regular basis to encourage personal and professional growth, as well as handling Performance Improvement Plans and warning notices through proper documentation. Oversee onboarding of new employees.
• Oversight of existing and new service contracts, including scheduling & management to ensure multiple bids are received with vendor compliance of contracts.
• Physical oversight of all areas of hotels, keeping a keen eye on maintenance and ensuring properties are up to code standards. This includes the pool, public spaces, parking garage(s), exteriors, guest rooms, meeting spaces, and event areas.
• Safety measures are met, including all fire systems, extinguishers, sprinklers and standpipe systems are properly maintained and in compliance.
