If you have exposure to all facets of Loan Origination experience and have FHA, VA experience, then this is the ideal position for you!

To qualify, you must be an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator with a proven track record of success in the Banking industry.

As a Loan Originator, you will ensure timely and accurate package of loans originated by our Loan Officers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Mortgage Originator:

• Gather information and take each file from pre-approval to closing.
• Maintains financial institution loan records.
• Responsible for all input of loan information into the system for processing.
• Responsible for loan information that it is complete, accurate, verified and complies with Company policy.
• Resolves loan customers’ problems and complaints either by correspondence or by telephone.
• Maintains record of research and loan activity per regulation for file retention.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal lending regulations.
• Prepares documentation for closed paid-off loan files.
• Verifies loan documents such as income, credit appraisal, title and submits to underwriter.
• Maintains, submits, and ensures the quality of bank’s HMDA reporting.
• Meets deadlines concisely.
• Maintains strong quality controls through the process of appraising and monitoring day to day work.
• Makes recommendations to improve or maintain Loan Origination operations.

Requirements: Loan Originator in Las Cruces, NM

• Must possess strong administrative, organizational and computer skills.
• Previous 5 years Loan Origination experience required in FHA, VA and other govt loans.

Salary is $50K base plus bonus
