As Manager of Industrial Paint & Coatings, you will be a highly visible member of the team reporting to the President. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strategic direction and leadership to the team.
  • Recommending capital equipment investments based on product caps or required expansions.
  • Analyzing competitiveness of product offerings and product trends in the marketplace.
  • Conducting market research and customer interviews to identify technology and innovation trends.
  • Performing market segmentation analysis to include market size, and competitive landscape.
  • Developing go-to-market strategies for new products, plan the launch of new products, and develop product literature/training materials.
  • Reporting and analyzing key product line metrics including sales growth, gross margin, fill rate, inventory turns, supplier operational performance, performance to forecast, etc.

 

To qualify for the Manager – Industrial Paint & Coatings role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience selling in the industrial paint market.
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Experience developing, implementing and communicating business strategies and plans.
  • Prior experience conducting customer profiles and gathering field data for manufacturers/end users.
  • Successful track record of prospecting, researching and qualifying targets, generating sales reports, sales pipeline and funnel management for new opportunities and markets.
  • Prior experience developing and implementing business strategies and plans.
  • Must have P&L, financial analysis, forecasting, selling and pricing strategy execution experience.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, strategic planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office to include, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Salary: $80-$100K plus excellent benefits package
