Engineering Manager/Plant Engineer Allentown, PA

ISC’s team of Engineering Recruiters is partnering with a large, global Chemical company to identify an experienced and innovative Engineering Manager/Plant Engineer. They are located about 50 miles from Philadelphia city center.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing, coaching, and leading the Engineering team. The right candidate will focus on ensuring the production facility operates smoothly and efficiently while meeting all quality control and safety standards. Engineering Manager/Plant Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • 5+ years of Engineering management experience
  • 10+ years of Manufacturing Plant Engineer experience
  • Experience working in the chemical industry or other high speed manufacturing industrial environment
  • Experience with PLC Programming
  • Must be skilled in CAD – creating and proofing drawings, schematics, and implementing
  • Experience with writing SOPs and other technical documentation, as well as creating workflow guidelines
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics in manufacturing plants
  • Extremely hands-on management experience with knowledge of automated equipment assembly, electro-mechanical equipment, and
    electro-mechanical design
  • Positive, adaptable, and enthusiastic “out of the box” thinker with a strong desire to grow!

    Engineering Manager/Plant Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, planning, and implementation of various engineering, continuous improvement, and automation projects
    and programs
  • Develop and oversee the design, fabrication, and installation of machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems to solve
    complex fluid handling, mixing, and manufacturing problems, through research, design, and/or purchase
  • Draft machinery, equipment, training documents, and SOPs
  • Develop project schedules, cost estimates, and manage the team according to project budgets and scope
  • Ensure compliance, manage relationships with vendors and contractors, and collaborate with other department managers
  • Develop and coach direct reports, develop a sense of accountability, and must be open to allow employees ideas to
    be heard, while setting a positive example
