ISC’s team of Recruiters has been retained by the leading manufacturer of customized finishing equipment to add both an on-site Engineering and an Electrical Engineering Manager to their team near Eau Claire, WI- due to growth.

In the full-time Electrical Engineering Manager role, you will be responsible for managing 2 teams of electrical engineers, designers, and programmers, with a total of 17+ direct/indirect reports. You will demonstrate exceptional cross-functional communication skills to ensure the successful designing and building of unique solutions for clients within the small component, collision repair, military, marine, commercial aircraft spaces, and more.

Electrical Engineering Manager Requirements- To qualify, you should have the following:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study
  • 10+ years total work experience within relevant Engineering roles, preferably in a made-to-order manufacturing field
  • 7+ years of results-driven leadership experience involving cross-functional communication
  • Innovative capabilities in developing strategies, procedures, and controls for core engineering plans and overseeing execution of customized client solutions to meet/exceed business objectives
  • Expertise in PLC, IoT and other Electrical/Controls systems
  • Demonstrated competency in measuring/quantifying engineering activity data in a continual effort to foment efficiency align with company strategies
  • Keen ability to assess team and develop talent
  • Key managerial qualities including acting as change agent, strong communication, strategic nature, client-focused, project management

     Electrical Engineering Manager Responsibilities- The duties for the role are as follows:

  • Report directly to the VP of Engineering as lead Electrical Engineer
  • Spearhead technical projects throughout assigned teams, as key developmental leader managing data, reporting, and analyzing performance
  • Utilize cross functional communication applying ongoing process improvement and catering to the unique needs of diverse audiences for internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee all design activities for electrical and controls teams and build out tools to effectively track project progress, quality, costs and delivery
  • Develop controls and implement measures for effective employee training, internal processes, consistency in production and ongoing pursuit of best practices
  • Foment innovation in product modification, development and technical support
  • Evaluate strategic sales planning
