The organization owns and manages hotels, mixed use & commercial properties, as well as apartment buildings. The Corporate Controller will oversee accounting management and assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to ensure best practices throughout the organization. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Corporate Controller will prepare financial statements and be responsible for oversight of the corporate books.

Corporate Controller Requirements- To qualify, you should have the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a corporate accountant.
• Advanced Excel skills as well as knowledge of financial management & accounting software. ADP, Payscan, Vendor Café & Yardi are a plus.
• GAAP knowledge.

Corporate Controller Responsibilities- The duties for the role are as follows:
• Oversight and maintenance of the corporate books.
• Management of Accounting team, including AP, AR, and GL as well as financial planning, reporting & analysis.
• Oversee payroll, maintain works comp schedules, weekly check runs, and review utility payments ensuring payments are made timely.
• Manage Corporate invoices.
• Ensure chargebacks are posted correctly and timely.
• Manage loans and oversee interest and principal payments.
• Ensure military set-aside payments are posted.
• Oversee yearly pension adjustments as necessary.
• Prepare year-end schedules for tax returns and financial statements.
• Oversee and create Corporate financial statements.
• Review and reconcile corporate accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
