Commercial Relationship Manager III –– Agriculture – Indiana/Illinois/Ohio markets

Our Client is a well-established Bank with a strong presence in the Indiana market. They have been extremely successful in serving the region through high-touch relationship banking, strong financial position, and community commitment. Due to continued growth, the Bank is looking for an additional Commercial Relationship Manager III – Agriculture business.

We are seeking candidates with experience as a Commercial Relationship Manager III with an Agri-business Banking background to join a growing Bank. The role provides tremendous long-term growth, a lucrative compensation package, excellent support and resources.

 

Responsibilities for Commercial Relationship Manager III– Agriculture Banking

The Agribusiness Banking Relationship Manager will handle multi-faceted relationships. This will focus on large commercial farming enterprises, farm related businesses, and/or marketing and processing companies in the I 70 and north and I 65 corridors.

  • Marketing products and services to promote Agriculture business; Call on prospective and existing agribusiness clients to generate loans, deposits, and fees in a specific territory.
  • Determine credit eligibility, prepare loan narratives, ensure loans meet appropriate criteria, and effectively cross-sell a wide variety of products.
  • Understand client’s needs based on the review and analysis of personal and financial data. Analyzes personal and financial data to deepen current, profitable client relationships.
  • Qualify prospects by collecting and analyzing financial and related data.
  • Prepare or oversees the completion of the loan approval form, including careful underwriting of the loan so that the structure meets the needs of the borrower and the bank.
  • Negotiate the terms under which the credit will be extended to include pricing fees, costs repayment method and schedule, collateral requirements.
  • Monitors the performance of the borrower over the life of the loan. Responsible for the credit quality in the portfolio.
  • Refers loans to loan committee for approval.
  • Represent the Bank on their Agriculture business via various agricultural, community, civic and professional organizations.

 

Qualifications for Commercial Relationship Manager III – Agriculture Banking

  • 5-7 years’ experience in agribusiness or similar experience in agricultural credit and understands agricultural business management, finance, and the agricultural industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking or Finance or Agriculture.
  • Credit training, credit quality and underwriting fundamentals experience; including financial analysis required.
  • Solid Business Development skills, with a consultative approach and proven success.
