ISC’s team of Hospitality Recruiters has been retained by a leading property manager that owns and manages apartment communities, commercial/mixed-use properties, resorts and hotels, on an Area Director of Revenue opportunity. Our client’s portfolio of hotels is luxury approaching luxury full service and the ideal candidate for this role is a strong leader in the Hotel Revenue space with a proven track record of partnering with multiple properties in optimizing performance and effectively managing relationships with hotel partners, team members and third parties.

This is a fantastic position for a creative and driven performer with independent hotel revenue management experience. Our client is stable and growing with large capital projects in the works. The Area Director of Revenue will have the opportunity to lead and optimize revenue management/distribution strategies for 3 Maryland hotels and 1 ski resort in Pennsylvania, with direct exposure to senior leadership!

Area Director of Revenue Requirements- To qualify, you should have the following:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in revenue management leadership with required (200+ key/full-service hotel). Independent property and resort experience, preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ multi-property revenue leadership, required
  • Competency utilizing Outlook, Word, Excel, RoomMaster, Opera, Maestro, Delphi, iHotellier, Duetto, ProfitSword, etc.
  • Availability during peak operating hours/special events.

    Area Director of Revenue Responsibilities- The duties for the role are as follows:

  • Act as primary Director of Revenue for 3 hotels and one resort, demonstrating rate positioning, effective channel management, distribution and oversight of support teams/systems.
  • Manage staff with respectful and clear communication, training, mentoring, developing talent, coaching, orchestration of meetings and performance management.
  • Oversee direct report, Area Business Travel Sales Manager, for hotels and direct LNR productivity.
  • Utilize proactive and comprehensive sales and marketing techniques.
  • Collaborate with corporate marketing and sales teams on e-commerce management. Actively participate in calls, promote and develop packages and partner with Directors of PR, Marketing and Sales on tactical strategies regarding online marketing.
  • Manage revenue optimization systems, group pricing strategies and confirm price parity amongst sellable channels, including restrictions.
  • Curate and implement brand development strategies and continually integrate into the guest experience.
  • Lead out on weekly Revenue Optimization Committee meetings for all 4 properties.
  • Create and carry-out sales strategies applying to each property’s key markets to enhance RevPAR Index Penetration and improve revenue. Including managing the daily business review meeting with the sales teams.
  • Utilize proactive and comprehensive sales and marketing techniques.
  • Act as key point of contact for online travel agencies, revenue management system partnerships and third-party providers.
  • Actively manage selling restrictions, inventory controls, and analyze competitive intelligence daily.
  • Distribute weekly operational forecasts and seek out areas to implement ongoing improvements.
  • Create monthly rooms forecasts alongside Director of Sales/Marketing/GM for presentation to corporate/ownership.
  • Collaborate with GM, VP of Hosp and DOSM to fulfill annual budget process.
  • Final oversight of support team tasks and status reporting to leadership.
