Our Client is a prominent and leading international Multi-Family Office and Trust Company with an office in Manhattan.


The firm is looking for a strong investment candidate for their growing Alternative Investment group. We’re targeting an individual with a private markets investment background and the interest, or experience, to be in a partially client facing with continued client interaction long term.


This is a tremendous opportunity to be highly visible, working closely with the Director of the AI group with both Analytical and Due Diligence responsibilities, as well as the ability to be in a ‘front office’ client facing role with heavy interaction with the Client Advisor, as well as the UHNW Family Office Clients.


The Alternative Investment professional will partner with the Client Advisors and Investment team to build and implement customized Alternative Investment solutions for Clients.


Responsibilities for the Alternative Investment – Advisory Professional – AVP Manhattan NY :

  • Partner with the Director of the newly formed Alternative Investment team to develop AI offerings for the firm and specific client portfolios.
  • Contribute to due diligence of alternative investment funds and co-investments (largely buyout, venture capital and growth equity).
  • Continually research financial markets, as well as the wealth management industry, to remain current and create ideas and input toward the development of Alts Investments.
  • Partner closely with Client Advisors, as well as the Firm’s UHNW Clients, and answer questions and requests regarding Alternative Investments.
  • Create best practices and develop processes and tools for analyzing alternative investment portfolios.
  • Centralize data in research management system for research and analysis.
  • Develop a professional network of other leading institutional investors.


Qualifications for the Alternative Investment – Advisory Professional – AVP:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA/CFA/CAIA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-7 years relevant experience and/or experience researching and investing in alternative strategies with an emphasis on private markets.
  • Strong knowledge of investment and financial theory, asset allocation, risk management and portfolio construction concepts.
  • Co-investing experience desirable.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including ability to write macros in Excel.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and FactSet (or similar data software).
