VP of Construction & Development, Washington DC

ISC has been retained by a growing Real Estate Development Company to recruit candidates for a Vice President of Construction & Development for Multi-family position in the greater Washington, DC Metro area.

The successful candidate for the Vice President of Construction & Development for Multi-family housing will have these general responsibilities . . .

  • Oversee and manage the development process for new and existing multi-family properties.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the development team and consultants including Architectures, Interior Design, Purchasing, Standards, CADD Operations and Construction Document Management.
  • Manage financial control and accountability.
  • Oversee and coordinate activities with team to facilitate start-up of projects.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with external vendors.
  • Review and approve project design for quality and conformance to standards.
  • Ensure Division is in compliance with Company’s policies, procedures and federal, state and local regulations.
  • Evaluate opportunities for new markets.

 

Summary of requirements for Vice President of Construction & Development for Multi-family:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Business Administration or related discipline. MBA preferred.
  • Must have 10+ years of experience in land development for multi-family housing
  • Prior development of multi-family housing to include, construction, project design, operations and purchasing.
  • P& L experience required.
  • Experience in project leadership/management, purchasing and marketing.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace and team-oriented environment.
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational, decision making, and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite to include, MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
