Senior Trust Officer – Wilmington, DE

Our Client is a leading Investment Firm with a growing Trust Company in Wilmington, DE. They’re looking for a seasoned Trust Officer with experience managing UHNW Trusts and interfacing directly with Clients.
Tremendous opportunity with continued growth and development in a highly visible role. This individual will be managing one of the largest Family Office relationships for the Trust Company and will be the main point of contact from a fiduciary and relationship management standpoint.

Responsibilities:

  • Trust Officer and primary Relationship Manager for a Family Office relationship with over 200MM in AUM.
  • Meet with clients regularly in person, as well as providing high touch client service via phone and email.
  • Review and understand document to certify correct administration of trusts. Ensure files are complete for annual audit. Review trusts to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and fiduciary responsibility.
  • Continually monitor trust activity and responsible for reviewing all discretionary distributions and bringing to trust committee.
  • Coordinate and monitor transferred assets, correct statement recipients, collect cost basis information, approve account on system and fee schedule set-up.
  • Generate annual review and report account status annually.
  • Coordinate, monitor and execute post-death provisions.
  • Partner with other Trust Officers and serve as a team lead by working to field questions from other Trust Officers and Trust Associates, assist in training new administrative employees.
  • Oversee work of Trust Associate assigned to help with account administration for accuracy and discuss any issues with Trust Associate. Keep manager apprised of performance.
  • Establish recurring bill payments and client disbursements. Keep client apprised of any unusual activity in the account. Monitor the yearly gift from the client to insurance trusts for payment of premiums.
  • Revalue charitable trusts on an annual basis to ensure payments are going to the beneficiaries per the trust provisions.

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in business.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Personal Trust Administration or Estate Planning.
  • CTFA or CFP required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
