I was visiting with an executive who made a statement that I will remember as long as I live:  “It’s no wonder why we’re not getting anywhere!  We’re just throwing groups of unskilled and inexperienced people together with vague directions, calling one of them the leader, and then expecting them to be a high performance team.”  Success requires much more than going through the motions.
